Unpleasant Traditions

Originally made as a Christmas card for a friend of mine in Toronto, but I decided to post it as I'm mildly pleased with it. Enough to put it here, in any case. But yes, this is Edward Elric and Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist. Some cruel, cruel person has stuck mistletoe in their path and, so, yeah. There's a reason this is titled Unpleasant Traditions, after all. Pucker up, Edo!

Technical stuff: I don't like their faces, now that I see it again. They're a bit off, but I'm not going to be too picky about it. It will be sent away from me, and then this scan will be all I have left of it. That's a scary thought, but whatever. I had fun with Ed's hair, since I was using the shittiest set of Prismacolor Scholar pencils from about a billion years ago, and the yellow in it is OMGBRIGHT. So whee, exploring the spectrum. I also wish I'd put some kind of highlights on Roy's hair. Oh well.

Approx. 1 hour, drawn with the pretty dolphin pencil I was given by the friend who will recieve this card.

And, even though I hate Christmas, I wish everyone out there a Happy Holiday! Don't forget to confuse someone with mistletoe. At least you can possibly get a free kiss out of it.
